Lanterns light a path that runs through a snowy forest of tall pines, drawn in fine detail. Start with the lanterns themselves, then color outward from their glow into the trees and snow.
Blend a soft yellow around each lantern into the blue shadows on the snow, so the light seems to spill across the path.
