A traditional wooden nutcracker soldier stands at attention beside a decorated Christmas tree, with wrapped presents gathered at its feet. Work on his tall hat and uniform before anything else, then move down to the boots.
Once the red of the uniform is down, go over its trim with a gold gel pen. The shine gives the wooden soldier a polished, freshly painted look.
